    Rear rotor upgrade

I just picked up a set of used EBC wave front rotors. Anyone know where or what kind of rotor to get on the rear to match the wave front rotors?

A few simple cosmetic mods + forward controls

Nice looking Bike. Just a suggestion... If you're into all the painting and powder coating, why not freshen up the faded motor? My '98 was the same way until I painted the heads with Rustoleum high heat gloss black. Hardest part was all the taping.

    Center stand, removal

Not sure how hard it is with exhaust on. I removed my center stand when I replaced the mufflers. The bolts weren't too hard to get at with no mufflers. Keep the bolts and stand... You can put the center stand on (hand tight) to use it in the garage. You don't need the spring to put the bike on...

Fast and loud.... douche bag garage....

I don't mind watching F & L. Richard Rawlings makes me laugh, even if he is a douche. I still like most of the cars behind all the bs. Stacey David's Gearz is the best car show on tv IMHO. No bs, just great builds.

    Badlands Attica, IN

Having something to ride off road is a great idea. I picked up a Honda ATC 200S 2 years ago for free:biglaugh: (not running, left for dead). Put a few hundred bucks into it, and now I use it when camping in the summer and use it all winter. It's not fast compared to a Vmax, but 3 wheels, no...

    Center stand hitting swingarm.

Agreed... Took mine off last week when I installed new slip-ons. You only need to put the two bolts back in hand tight to use it.

Found time to go to the strip again

Nice looking 85 and good ET too! Is the bike stock? At my local track, you don't need full leather suit unless you're running faster than 120mph.

    Delkevic 9" SS slip-ons

Yes... It's a factory backrest. It was on the bike when I bought it.

    Delkevic 9" SS slip-ons

Well, I made a short video clip and posted it on youtube. I hope this works... It sounds much better in person. Baffles are out:biglaugh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qb5vvueZq4

    Delkevic 9" SS slip-ons

Just installed these the other night. The fit is good, however 1 baffle had to be tapped in place. You can keep your center stand, but I removed mine (hardly use it anyway). Drove about 15 min with baffles in... Sounds nice and a little louder than stockers with 3/8" holes drilled... Nice tone...

    Aftermarket master cylinder cover leaks?

I had the same problem a few months ago. I took the covers back off and cleaned the sealing surface with 400 grit sandpaper. Wash the rubber gaskets with soapy water and let dry. The clutch still leaked for a day or so after, I think it was a little overfilled because it hasn't leaked a drop all...

    First timer 1/4 mile

    Ran the bike again today. Launched a little harder today, rather than fanning the clutch. First pass: 12.16 @ 111.9mph 2nd pass: 12.18 @ 112.2mph 3rd pass: 12.35 @ 111.0mph (spun the tire) 4th pass: 12.14 @ 112.2mph Had a blast!

    First timer 1/4 mile

I`m sure you`re right on that. Thanks for the tips:eusa_dance: With the PCW clutch, it should hook up quite well. Like Sean said, I`ll work on getting those 60`times down. Next time I won`t have the first timer gitters either.

    First timer 1/4 mile

    60 foot times: 1st - 1.979, 2nd - 1.841, 3rd - 1.931 1/8 mile times: 1st - 7.945, 2nd - 7.786, 3rd - 7.884 Looks like I would have had a good pass if I didn't miss 4th gear on that second one. Shift light will be on my wish list this Christmas. Hard to tuck and still see the tiny tack!

    First timer 1/4 mile

I weigh 180lbs without gear. There was a 5mph head wind. Track is about sea level. It is actually an old airstrip, and the track crew won't let motorcycles with street tires do burnouts. They say it tears up the track:confused2: With cold tires, am I better off to run in the grove or to the...

    First timer 1/4 mile

Finally had a chance to make a few passes for the first time on my '98 Max. First pass: 12.48 @ 107mph 2nd pass: 12.56 @ 101mph (missed shift into 4th) 3rd pass: 12.38 @ 107mph Bike is stock except PCW clutch spring. Launch wasn't that great and I didn't rev past 9000rpm...the track is 120...
