Just picked up New to me Vmax

Comfort, handeling, Speed and H.P. More than the Vmax in all catagories, but I still Love the max as well and split my riding about 50/50 this season with a lilttle trail riding put in for good measure.

    First vmax crash

No offence, but if you have "Time" to "Lay it down" then you have time to get on the binders, or swerve, It takes a lot less time to swerve than lay it down. Now if youo layed it down to avoid or reduce, how do you know that the brakes could not have stopped you in that distance if you did...

    First vmax crash

Could just be me, but I have always been able to stop a bike quicker with the rubber on the ground than the metal on the ground. Some reason the rubber has better stopping abilities than the metal. I also have been able to swerve faster than I can stop if that is necessary.

    Target Fixation

I have noticed over the years from my own experience, and then especially from teaching riding programs that target fixation when riding is a problem. Now I am not talking just about looking at the ditch or tree and hitting it. I am mainly speaking of watching other riders. One of the...

    Trailer Hitch Help!

I have talked before about a hitch and also had one made (That did not work out so well) it does not fit right but actually has a good design, just a little out of wack and also a little on the heavy side. If someone nearby could take this hitch and make one lighter that fits that would be...

Top 3 ways to get burned on a used V-Max?

    1. Make sure that the title is clear and actually matches the Bike numbers. 2. Make sure the bike has not been down, look for any small marks in the frame that would give it away. Things that should not be there. 3. Certain mods are ok, If they added a fork brace, changed the seat or added...

    Turn Key and Nothing!

If I had started out checking the ignition switch proable only a 20 minute fix, But like normal you start by checking the simple things first, Battery, Connections, fuses and so on. Taking the switch apart involves removing the right side scoop, Plastic cover for radiator hoses (Slides off)...

Test riding the FZ1 at the dealer

Well I bought a 2006 FZ1 and I Love it. It IS NOT a Vmax and that is why I love it. I have both and ride both. They are different. If I only liked the max there would be no excitement in riding other bikes. I like the differences and will be riding both bikes as much as work allows!
