Gun Aficionados.....My Companies Newest Customer Is.....

Its very easy to build a 1911 "from parts" in fact I have build a couple from parts I took off my other guns. Of course you have to have one part of the gun that you an "track". That is the frame. When I bought frames for the the "parts guns" I put together, I had to do the whole 4473/...

    Gun question

Were you shooting it? I ask because I saw a lot of guns the "didn't eject" come over the counter that were OK, just the person shooting the gun (like a wife/girlfriend) had a weak grip/limp wrist. It would seem to indicate that your shooting factory loads, so it wouldn't be the amno, What...

Gun Aficionados.....My Companies Newest Customer Is.....

The only "bad" thing I hear about that is that they are expanding in NY. I'd like to see more "gun" business moving out of the anti-gun states and into the pro gun states. I mean why make a gun in a state that your workers can't buy your product? My shooting buddy just sent a Kinber in to NY...

    Can you do this

In answer to your question, YES I could do that... on my Montesa cota, but never on a big chunk of iron like a Harley!

Gun Aficionados.....My Companies Newest Customer Is.....

My ultra always shot good- but of course it has a very short sight radius. When I put the lazer grips on it, I tried shooting from a sandbag rest at 50 ft. using the lazer to sight. I short a 3" group, then just to prove it wasn't just luck I shot another that was just about the same size...

    Can you do this

I couldn't remember the course, let alone drive it!

Gun Aficionados.....My Companies Newest Customer Is.....

I'm a big fan of Kinber. There was a time when you bought a 1911 "government" model, then you bought a bunch of parts, maybe enlisted the services of a gunsmith, and you ended up with a great shooting target gun. Kimber just eliminated the strip and rebuild phase so you had a better then...

My first Vmax, got it for $840

Well as long as you have to fix it anyway, you should call sean and see if he has any Ri forks... I don't know that looks like a lot of work... Maybe I could take it off your hands... Super buy! Looking forward to your restore that I'm sure you are going to post for us.

How do I increase my fuel mileage?

When Todd and Mike are leading a ride, we stop about every 80 miles... so the rest of the guys can catch up <BMFG>

How do I increase my fuel mileage?

More power = More gas. Your heading said you wanted to use less gas. The stage 7 is designed to give you more gas into the engine. Plus I would bet you are running way rich at some points in your rpm range. Too rich makes the bike SLOWER. Except in high performance apps, the bike will run...

How do I increase my fuel mileage?

I would contact Sean at Morley's Muscle. He is making up hybrid exhaust systems using the Marks head pipes and different cans. He does a great deal of testing and dyno work, I'd bet he could give you insight to the best combination. If you really want lots better mileage, I dump the stage 7...

    4-2 header suppliers...

I would call Sean (one2dmax). His system uses the Marks head pipes, and he may be willing to sell you just that.

To buy or not to buy?!

First, Don't be worried about the mileage! If its got some mileage, You know it hasn't been sitting in the shop! The Max is a big and heavy bike. It has a long wheelbase. Pure and simple, Its not going to handle like a 600 sport bike. You can't adjust off 200 lbs! For 95% of the people...

To buy or not to buy?!

Way too much money for an '85. While V-Max seem to be "just the same, there have been a lot of changes over the years. I would HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT buy a Pre '93. Personally, I would stay away from any bike that has engine mods, unless you know the rider and bike very well. And on top...

To buy or not to buy?!

One of the best things about the V-Max is the value you normally get when buying used. I have an '97 and love it, but I got mine for $2800 a year an a half ago. And it was in MUCH better shape. I'd take $2500 in cash, if you like the bike show him the money, and when he tries to get more out...

I machined out some swing arm extensions....

When I used to go to the machine tool shows, I remember a guy had a micro v8- I belive it was 1/24 scale. Everything worked, cams, tiny little valves, everything. (It was based on a 426 hemi). I was delighted to make a 2 stage steam engine, then I saw that.

1428cc Beast, Own one or larger?

You guys with the big maxs, just wondering, what kind of mileage do you get. Just thinking because I fill up an 100 miles on a stocker- how much range do you guys get?

    Turbo Diavel

WOW!... If only that check would get here from the lotto... Sorta like a gen 2 that will go around corners like a sport bike and weighs a couple hundred pounds less.

I machined out some swing arm extensions....

Mike- just so you know, I'm not going on a diet on Jan. 2, I don't have to. I have already taken off thousands of pound over my life time!
