Got Mr Max fired up yesterday and went around the block and made a lap around the neighborhood nice to hear the roar of the V4 again its been awhile, now just have to get my new tires on and ready to go 60's next week !!!!!!:eusa_dance:

I was also wondering when i first got the bike to turn over when the chokes was on it made some loud knocking noise i never heard before, but then i turned choke off and it started up and didnt do it again i ve only had the bike since last fall so mt first experience with this noise

Any suggestions for pre season maintience? shaft oil change? oil change obviously, cant wait to get new tires on also to see how it rides also

No it was some carpet, but it mustve just needed a little charge just went out there and it fired right up, purrs like a kitten!!! sweet, just be a little inpatient i guess

Pretty lame figured i would throw the battery in my Max today, i charged it up 3-4 weeks ago out of the bike its been in my basement all winter, get all hooked up and in the bike, turns over about 4-5 times!!! put 50amp boost on it about the same, battery worked fine last summer not sure how old...

I think i heard that about the EU version also, i just seen a MAX for sale and the guy claimed 98 hp and i figured he wasnt right i guess cause i always heard the magic 145hp number

Not sure but for some reason i thought i always heard that Vmax had 145hp ??? i looked it up and it said 98hp for a 98 which i have, seems like alot more i had a 88 FZ750 and i thought that was in the 80's so just kinda confused i guess:punk:

Guy is selling a set of Shinko touring from what i read this morning they sound like a pretty good tire for the MAX is this right, seriously thinking of buying them any advice would be great thanks:punk:

Just curious i looked at where the battery was once not to indepth though, im sick sitting on computer and dont really want to go out to garage, is it pretty easy to remove, looks like its right under the seat? thanks hope to get it winterized pretty soon never know whats gonna happen in MN here

Just curious is there anything special to do to my Max before the cold harsh winter sets in up here who knows when? i talked to the Yamaha dealer he said just run it low on regular gas and fill it up with 110 octane and leave er sit, in the past i put in stabilizer and ran my Buell for a while...
