Oh ya one more question. What if I strip the head of the screw? The reason I ask is because I threw some light on the screw and noticed that the head is warn in both directions. If for whatever reason I can't get it out the normal way, is there an alternative?

I need to replace the hex bolt (as seen in the attached pics) I removed my Engine Guards and want the stock bolt to go back in. Unfortunately I don't have the bolt that came out of the hole so I need a new one. Can I use any old Hex bolt (proper size) or does this require a special steel? I...

It sounds like people really believe my problem is with the r/r. I'll try grounding the r/r to the negative battery terminal and if that doesn't help then I guess I should pick up a new style vmax r/r (finned) or one from a zx14.

I by-passed the r/r crimp by directly wiring the r/r to the battery positive terminal.
