    exactrep Air scoop side panels

I found these on ebay accidentally. They aren't posted very well so nobody has bid on them the last two times they've been posted - meaning if you wait till the final hour and bid the $120 you'll probably get them. I was tempted to get them myself, but they just aren't my style...

    Why Vboost

Rob - I'm in the same boat. My new to me 2002 has a toggle switch below the left side of the gauge cluster. I'll get a pic next weekend when I get home. Once I get my other bike sorted, I'll figure out what this switch does. I feel no difference up or down.

    Dented Delkevic!

I think the only thing I would add to your step-by-step directions would be to deflate and remove the football. It'll run like **** with no flow through the muffler like that. :p

    Water pump leaking oil

Very cool! I wish I knew how to weld. That would definitely be my best option. I was also considering drilling and taping the area with a 'faux' drain plug that was glued in place with JB weld. Well, the ebay part will be here on Tuesday, so I'll see how good/bad that one looks and go from there.

    Water pump leaking oil

I bought a second VMAX a week ago. I haven't even gotten started making my first one road worthy yet because my primary bike, 2012 M109R, has been having intermittent ignition issues. So I bought this VMAX on the cheap as it seemed to need very little to get her on the road. I got back from a...

    Steering Wobble

Old, hard tires are dangerous. There should be a small oval on the tire with four numbers. That is the mfg week and year. E.g. An oval with 2114 would be week 21 of 2014. If it's the original (2005 or 2006 mfg date), then get rid of it ASAP.

    First Vmax/First Bike

Congrats! Just make sure you go easy on the throttle for a while once your on the roads. ;) And if you ever want to trade tins, let me know. Mine has silver carbon fiber bits on her right now, but I will be changing her to yellow at some point in the near future... #dreambike. :)

    New gas tank from Partzilla

Sounds like I just got lucky. Sorry, gang. I hope you get your parts soon.

    New gas tank from Partzilla

Sorry. That sucks. If nothing else, they at least let you know if they give up. I ordered something online from a dealer a few weeks back. After a week and no shipping info I emailed and asked when it might ship... no response. A few days later I called and got ahold of someone. "Oh, yeah we...

    Aftermarket Fuel tank

$205 delivered for a used gas tank that may have rust. I'm all for saving money, but I stand by my decision to just buy a brand new one for $337.

    New gas tank from Partzilla

Negative. I have an M109R and the one I'm selling is a Vulcan bobber I made over the winter.

    New gas tank from Partzilla

I wanted to post an update on the new gas tank I ordered from Partzilla in case someone is scared to order from them due to shipping times. - I ordered the tank on 06JUN2022 for $317.22 (free shipping, but another $20 in tax). It was showing that it would ship in 2-3 days. - On 08JUN2022 I got...

    Fuel Tank outlet blocked

Well, I want to thank you. I've de-rusted and sealed many a fuel tank. I have a brand new tank on order for my new-to-me VMAX, but was thinking about just taking the time to redo my rusty tank and save some money. Now that I see the pic of the inside of your tank I don't think I'll be...

1st Gen V-Max Finally got my VMAX after 25 years.

Thanks, guys! I'm familiar with DannyMax - I think he was active on the v4musclebike forum I was on a few years back when I had my Gen3 Magna. I actually enjoy working on bikes so I'll be doing the work myself. I might get started this weekend and take the gas tank out. If it isn't too bad then...

1st Gen V-Max Finally got my VMAX after 25 years.

I was a senior in High School back in 1994. That spring I wanted to move up from my Suzuki GS500E and saw a bike I wanted at dealer... a 1985 Honda Nighthawk 650. It was a good deal and I ended up buying her. But while at the dealer something caught my eye that has left me drooling for the last...
