Swapped out my beat-up silver bars for black ones. During reassembly I noticed this loose plastic washer on the throttle assy between the grip and cable housing. Can't find it in any parts schematic or service manual. In it's current location it isn't doing anything. Made me wonder if it belongs...

I don't think so. The spools for my Pit Bull stand screwed into the much smaller hole right beside the one that has a cap or cover, or plug, or whatever. My spools weren't yet installed when I took that pic. It's not easy to find a good image of it because the cap blends in with the swing arm...

I was still riding a CB650 when a buddy in my small town got one of these. Damn I was covetous! At the time it seemed longer and lower than anything else. I also remember thinking the rear tire was crazy fat! Of course it was compared to my 130 LOLOL

That explains it. I could’ve sworn the rears on my last 3 bikes doubled as running lights and thought I was losing it. I completely forgot they were red (Harleys). Thanks guys. Although I'm still probably losing it.

Put in a K&N oil filter and 5 qts of 10w50 semi-synthetic Yamalube. What a fiasco. The plug and filter both felt welded on. My drain pan wouldn't fit under the bike. My filter wrench wouldn't fit behind the radiator. My oil funnel wouldn't fit in the filler hole. Anywho. She's topped off and...

Maybe a dumb question but... Noticed my rear signals stay off except when signaling; however, both the fronts are always on. Just wondering if that's the setup or if I need to start troubleshooting.

I initially put barend mirrors on for looks but discovered that I really like their functionality. The ones I got had to be disassembled so I could access and tighten a hidden bolt. They were folding back way too easy.

I believe you're right bud - that down pipe doesn't look stock. As Traumahawk said, my Voodoo (same as UFO) cat delete pipes tie into the factory down pipes via the stock gaskets and clamps.
