That OTEC peekaboo covers are neat. I also noticed you've got the tuning forks emblem on the intakes. Mine is also an '09 but my intakes have the old Star emblem. Wonder if that's another mod.

It was a question, not a point. Seller with a 210 rear says his 2nd gen has a Yamaha fat tire kit. Just asked if I was correct in thinking the kit was for 240 tires. Then I merely noted that a 210 is 5% wider, drops the rear .63" and (apparently) fits on a stock rim.

After boning up on the subject a little (straight, X pipes, H pipes, etc.) I'm surprised all VMX1700 cat-deletes don't have a crossover between the rear tubes. Virtually all aftermarket mids tie into the stock head pipes - the fronts of which are fitted with a factory crossover. Seems the front...

There's currently an '09 on eBay described as having Yamaha's fat tire kit. However, it's clearly sporting a 210/40 (ME880). Wasn't the kit for a 240 conversion? My stock rim is already wrapped with a 200/50 (ME888).

While poking around on the net I noticed Akrapovic offers mid-pipes that are connected by an "interference crossover tube" and (obviously) sets that include no such tube. Is one design considered favorable over the other? Also, are Nash's flashes crossover-tube specific?

Thanks Sean. Can you tell me what I need to replace the Voodoo (e.g. just the post)? The mount, switch, and spring all look original to the bike. Hard to tell without having a stock setup to compare with.
