Is it paint or powder? There in lies the problem. Any gel style paint remover will work at removing regular paint, but will not work well with powder. Auto-Zone has a spray on paint remover that I've heard works real well too. Chris

There are different Yamaha bolts that FIT the Vmax but are NOT intended for it. If you use the wrong one, it WILL cause engine failure. Just verify that ALL cross drilled holes are identical on both bolts.
