My 05 sits all winter in the garage, in the Spring when I first start it it leaks a small amount from the head gasket like yours, but after driving it a few times it stops and does not do it again until the next year, and repeat, repeat.
When my 05 was new and I had 1000 miles on it the wobble started, I followed Morleys instructions on Y-Tube to tighten the bearings and that fixed it, and I do it at the start of every riding season. I don't drive at 132 though. :)
Sad, but once a Cycle goes out of production parts across the board start to dry up, be it OEM or after market items, like the great Marks Exhaust. The problem is compounded when your machine is a low seller like MAX. Another problem is the great lack of skilled mechanics that can work on...

When Cycles go out of production, and mechanics are few and far between and the parts are hard to find, buying one is a big risk, especially for the MAX that never sold in the numbers of other bikes. Same with the FJR when that goes out of production, but that is at least a basic in line 4.
Damon Farriello lives near Milford and is a true guru on 1st Gen. Problem is finding a good VMAX tech any where is a real problem. Michigan does have many great rides on the MAX. I would suggest as soon as you can take the scenic route out of Little River Casino along Lake Mi. all the way to...
