On my stock 05 owned since new and my only weighing between 147 and 155 pounds I can't see any Harley touching me on power roll on's. My 05 literally scares the **** out of me frequently when under acceleration. It is important to consider weight of the rider as well as skillz.

The gunfighter seat made by the former UFO company, and presently by Morley also helps greatly in the twisties,,and Mi. has plenty of twisties :)

My 05 runs Avon Venoms v-rated front and rear, keep the front end tight, and realize I am not on a Sport Bike, respect the MAX and I have great time on twisties,,just remember, IT is what IT is!! Know the road!

I'll be 70 in September, first bike a Honda Super 90 in 1965, then a slew of BSA's, Honda's and HD's until the ultimate Max in 05, new.

Eric, The 2nd Gen has great power, that is why you bought it, leave it stock, save the money and hassle, just not worth it IMHO. I kept my 05 stock, glad I did, prefer riding over unneeded wrenching, and it goes like a bat outa hell, and being only 160 pounds helps alot. :)

Sell the parts and get a newer machine.
