Got the front end completed. Have not riden yet. Picked up some 1" fork extensions from Sean. I think the COO triple accounts for 2" if I remember, and the R1 forks were 4" shorter, so I am sitting at 1" lower in the front.

Has anybody swapped in a USD front end, and used the switch controls from the front end they used? I used a set of 2007 R1 forks, and was contemplating using the same switch controls from the R1. Turn signals, on/off, etc. The only thing I see of an issue, is having to remount the fuel reserve...

Wow, nice to see it worked out for you. I too have thoroughly been enjoying my new rear setup. I dont know how much difference my 200 size tire is compared to what you are running, but It feels so much smoother going around turns and sharp, low speed turns like my coul-de-sac.

With the bike in the shop, getting the R1 front end mounted, I thought I would share a teaser photo I threw together.

It's dark motor oil. I changed the oil today and it's leaking the newly added clean oil now so I know it's motor oil.

Wow, so put the Swingarm on, put the driveshaft through the Swingarm into the yoke. Then, put the wheel which has the pumpkin already mated to it, into the end of the driveshaft? That seems so much simpler!

how does that make installing it easier? How would you get the driveshaft seated in the yoke like that? I may be missing something. It also appears I have diff oil leaking from the yoke area where the boot is. This means it has to come back apart but I honestly don't think I can handle getting...

It is supposed to be powder coated but it just doesn't seem like it is. the caliper grease fitting had one if its rubber caps missing and with the tight fitment from the caliper to the rim, it made a lot of contact at the lip of the rim causing a lot of paint removal.

That was correct, I got that all together. Just finished, started it, and evidently I didn't get the drive shaft into the yoke correctly because it didn't sound good when I put it in gear. I guess I will take off the pumpkin and try to get it in? I really hate to take all this crap back off if...

I can't figure out what goes between the brake caliper bracket and the side of the rim at the axle location. The cycle one off rim is recessed at the rotor but the factory wheel is not, so it seams as if there should be a spacer to fill that recessed space. I left Tom a voicemail, but I'm ready...

how do you remove the factory rim plate that contains the hub and gear which mates to the diff gear?

That is what I was thinking. I doubt it will be any trouble for me.
