Yep, waxes and liquid car wash soap work fine. There are obviously some parts that shouldn't be waxed...but it's just as wax-friendly as my '09 was. I regularly wax the fenders and faux tank. Come to think about it...I don't think I waxed the display in the faux tank. It may be iffy due to...

The ‘18 is not really a matte finish. It waxes just fine.

That's the general consensus. I'm actively looking for an '18 to buy, and a dealer just told me they're seeing more orders for the Vmax now than ever before. The word is out that there won't be a '19.

+1 on this. For our English Mastiff, we learned early on to also make sure to cover his food in hot water before giving it to him. Reduces the amount of swell the food does AFTER he ingests it. (Absorbs the water beforehand, and it makes kind of a nice gravy for him, too.) Good luck, and...
