I noticed the handlebar wobble when I first got my V Max. After research and a Morley expert video, I tightened the bolt for the steering head bearings and did the fall away test as instructed in Morley's video. That fixed it, and now it doesn't wobble at any speed.

I will find out soon, I will be removing it this afternoon.

I replaced the following parts: New OE master cylinder New OE slave cylinder New stainless steel line New OE clutch pipe New OE clutch fiber discs And of course new fluid. I did the double D mod as well. Still engaging late, usually 3/4 to all the way out. I am at a loss.

Where is the clutch friction point on your bike? For example, does your bike's clutch start to grab and move the bike around 1/4 to 1/2 released, away from the handlebar? Or is it more like 3/4 to almost fully released away from the handlebars? I have been chasing an issue (?) on my 2000 V Max...

Beautiful bike, my friend had a 2006 identical to that. Loved the paint on it, and the wheels. His bike got me interested in the VMax.

Great, thanks for the help everyone. I will check into this and see if I can figure out what each setting does. ETA: Finally got a chance to check this out. Switch down = 6k activation, switch middle = OFF switch up = 3k activation.

So far I have been keeping it in the middle position, and Vboost seems to work as intended. I have flicked it up and down to see, but I will have to spend more time and pay better attention. I've been working on it over the past week, so I haven't been riding it.

Thanks. How do I tell what mode it is in based on the switch? I can leave it down, middle, or up.

Hello all, New member here with a 2000 V Max. I recently picked it up with just under 8,000 miles. Overall it's pretty nice, and I am going through and replacing parts to try and make it better and performing some deferred maintenance on it. Shout out to Mr. Morley for the advice and parts...
