    Clutch issues! (Mini-vmax)

That might be it! When I took apart the clutch pack earlier yesterday, I noticed that there were glaze marks only in the first half of the pack where the throw out bearing is. That seems like an indication of too much pressure. Also when I had everything put together last night it was somewhat...

    Clutch issues! (Mini-vmax)

No cable, only hydraulic. I did notice that when I bled off a little pressure, the clutch held together a little better. Still slipped but it was better.

They’re brand new Barnett springs, did they outsource to china or something?

    Clutch issues! (Mini-vmax)

Maybe, the oil is a little old. But I only use Yamaha conventional 10w-40 4t oil

    Clutch issues! (Mini-vmax)

First off I want to thank the admins of this forum by not gatekeeping. I know my yamahey isn’t a vmax, but I don’t know where else to post as there doesn’t seem to be a dedicated fz/x site. I installed a new set of aramid ebc clutch discs, steels, barnett springs, and even added an extra plate...

    Aftermarket rear shocks

I’m window shopping for new shocks, ohlins are out of my price range unless I stumble on a pair that needs “work”. YSS and bitubo piggyback shocks are ones that seem to be priced at the top of my budget. Are there any good alternatives? I’d like to be able to handle curves at 75+ without my rear...

Beginning to ride with my fazer

Once the motor goes, that’ll be swapped in or a 911 will be built. Whichever comes first I suppose lol

Beginning to ride with my fazer

Over the course of a few months and with the help of some forums I’ve finally got my fazer 700 running and driving. However, after 2 days of driving, lo and behold my fuel pump ***** out (I bypassed it and keep the tank full as much as possible to keep driving, at least until the new pump gets...

    Mini-Max fork rebuild

Hey guys, I just have a question on the orientation of the Taper Spindle and the spring itself. Ive got everything apart and completely forgot which way they're supposed to go lol.

    Yamaha parts

Understandable and thank you for the leads on parts suppliers. Also, would you happen to know the o-ring size for the oat needle assembly? I tried 9mm o-rings and they are able to seat into the groove, but they seam a little too snug.

    Yamaha parts

Don't want to ride in the cold? If you have a few of the gaskets I'm after, I'll buy em man. I only live about an hour and a half away

    Yamaha parts

So a little while ago, I picked up a mini-max (Fazer 700). It's a fantastic bike and really cemented my love for Yamaha. Currently I am in the process of serving the carbs and decided to take a closer look at the engine. It runs very well, but it's obviously been sitting for some time and needs...

    Choosing my first

Probably, but for now it'll do. I have, I start next week. Right now I'm looking for safety gear and the parts I need to get this thing running properly. After that, I'm going to ride locally and religiously practice my low speed maneuvering in an empty parking lot that's about a mile away from...

    Choosing my first

Found the leak coming from the carbs, seems like 2 and 4 are leaking from the float gaskets.

    Choosing my first

Idk man, I like the fazer a lot lol. I read up about that swap, if I find another fazer thats got a blown motor then I'm going with that swap, other wise this one stays stock! 😎

    Choosing my first

    Finally got it home

    Choosing my first

I'll have to really take a look once I get the bike home, could possibly be both. The front tire is the original tire from the factory, it's definitely getting replaced. The rear tire looked almost new, but it's not going to hurt anything to double check.

    Choosing my first

Here's a photo of the Fazer from the ad, I have to go and pick it up once I can. It's even more pretty in person, 11,300 miles, and it's been garaged it's whole life. In telling you this bike is spotless and has been meticulously maintained. New clutch, battery and a few other things. It sat...

    Choosing my first

Tried out the fazer and it's such a happy bike! It's heavy, but not too heavy to handle and loves to get on it. I'm in love with this bike, it needs some work done since it's been in storage for a long time but it runs and drives! It's more than enough power for my skill level and the riding...
