    Welcome to the Machine Just an observation and I’m sure you’re aware…..don’t put anything solid in that fork bag….my experience has been the first hard compression of those forks and you end up with a nice dent or broken fender. YMMV of course 👍🏻

    The second gear issue is more prominent in the earlier years…..I wouldn’t let it dissuade you from considering a 2005. If I was looking it would already be on its way to my home.

    Cracked doesn’t mean they’re bad in fact unless the bikes running bad they’re probably perfectly fine.

    You can’t have any gap…..the lock has to sit directly next to the housing and the grip has to be up against the the opposite side. There can’t be any space between either….it’s why they give you spacers to make the housing side tight. 🤷‍♂️ I had the Kuryakyn…..it wouldn’t keep a constant...
