I'll be posting more later, but I had a dissappointing night (last night). My bike was running like crap, ignition problems I think. I also have more carb tuning to work on as I lost about 10mph from changing to 0.096 main jets to 0.104, then I got about 5mph back when I changed to 0.100, so maybe that 96 main jet isn't too far off. My shift light wasn't working and I'm pretty sure my Dyna3000 rev limiter was the problem. I think it was cutting out around 8k or 8,500 and was never reaching 9200 (where my shift light was set). I had a couple hard wheelies again, but I didn't break anything and the bike still runs, so more test and tuning to come!:eusa_dance: or should it be :bang head:.... or maybe....:ummm:......:confused2:

Anyway, I have a few more vids, but this is what I have posted as of now.

The key thing Jeff, is the anouncer saying that your getting quicker with each pass. So obviously your progress is noticeable.

Looks like you spun pretty good off the line. All and all, Keep up the good work and most of all keep having fun:punk:

i have no advice to offer. but it looks like fun! u been busy lately jeff? haven't seen u on too often.

I added a couple of your videos to my YOUTUBE a few months ago thinkin youre bike and its set up was just BAD ***! I guess you can say Im a fan of what youre doing, but i HAD NOT realised you were also a user of the forum, incredible machine my friend.Keep doin what youre doin!

Thanks for the coments guys... it is fun, but I wish I knew more about this whole drag racing thing... all in time I guess. I was able to take a few movie clips and have them split up frame by frame and the pictures say a thousand words... it is really helpful to step through them and watch how I (and the bike) react. Here are a few shots:

One thing that i noticed is that when you launch you jerk your feet up right away. I don't know how fast your bike revs, but you should have them further back so that it is a slow smooth pull up to the pegs just in time for the shift. An Air shifter would also help you out a lot I think so that you could wait until second gear to get them up. Hopefully you'll get those fuel and ignition gremelins worked out so that we can see what she's capable of. This is the first chance i've had to get on since i got back from deployment and I am looking forward to some more testing :).

BTW, when you get a chance can you post up a time slip?

Here are a couple time slips, the white one was from Conesville with my 96 main jets on an unprepped track and the yellow is from Eddyville (a real drag strip) with 100 main jets. The yellow slip is also the pass with the movie posted above. An air shifter will help a TON, and I know I need to keep my feet out, but I really need to work on a new position for the controls... I'm so new on this bike, that it is hard for me to find the shifter and I actually have been keeping my shifter foot on the peg.... not good I know but I'm just trying to get consistant passes first, and don't want to miss a shift because of my foot placement.

I'm glad to hear you made it back and if you want to come get my 02 vmax, it's all yours until spring... I won't be riding it!

Later,

Jeff

Your 330ft is what's kicking your ***. It looks like you launch out then either A. have trouble getting full throttle, or B. start to spin or wheelie and have to back out of it. your 1.68 60ft isn't great, but for a bike that you're not that used to you're getting the job done.

keep up the good work man. those 1.4's will get there soon enough :p
