I would like to get some slash cuts four into four I seen cobra has them and also UFO cycles. UFO cycles is expensive $1300 but complete any one have info on cobra's good bad or ugly also do the baffles come out?
thanks woodsman

Cobra sound and look great, but performance wise not the good choice even if it won't be that bad. So if it's only cosmetic cobra are nice :)

Exactrep is selling some sidewinder pipes with are also double slip-ons but more a sporty look.

I guess UFO is selling the front system including the front header, which you won't get with Cobra.

For the baffle not sure they can come out from the Cobra.

I guess some guys might give you more details than me ;)

Cobra's are the absolute worst performing mufflers made for the Vmax. They are pretty cool looking just perform like crap. Plus, I don't particularly like the sound myself. The UFO will perform well but many don't like his customer service so keep that in mind. I'm sure they will let you know about it.

It's hard to beat the sound and performance of a well tuned Kerker with Comp Baffle.

The owner of UFO will tell you EVERYTHING you want to hear. Call him up... He won't answer...

He doesn't answer because it's easier to let a pissed off customer go to V/M then it is to deal with them.

Sorry I'm not "helping" but I'd run Cobras before I'd deal with that lying sack of &^$#...

Oh and Cobras WILL reduce your horsepower...

IMO... Kerker, Marks, and Dale Walkers Holeshots are the best for the Max. Proven quality and performance.

Chris

Got 'em on my Royal Star aka " Speedstar " , but only for looks . Performance wise , it's Kerker 4 me. :punk:

is the cobra issue due to jetting? i heard that if you rejet they work well due to backpressureor something like that?

The main thing with any slip-on muffler is your still limited by the narrow stock pipes. You can jet down to a 147.5 and get a little hp back with the cobra, but your not going to see any increase like you would with a full system Like Mark's, Dale's, or a Kerker.

I picked up a Kerker system with a carbon fiber can from Sean at a very reasonable price and I couldn't be happier with it.

How about these bad boys

Nice....I am very tempted, but fear they might be a bit loud when cruising with the wife on the back! We like to make fun of the Harleys that we see making large amounts of noise but not going anywhere....all show-no go as we put it!

They will hear you coming, not much doubt about that, as far as the wife....Maleko put turn out tips on his and says it helps with 'rider ear-itation' :biglaugh:, don't know how much tho.

Thats one hell of a good price for the marks! I think I would like to have the black ceramic coated ones. You have both danny...whats your opinion...is it worth the extra $ for ceramic?

I don't really know....guess it's an individual taste thing. I put the aluminum cans on the black pipes and the black cans on the S/S pipes....so, what do I know? :rofl_200:
