LITTLE FRUSTRATED THAT IT SET ME BACK MAKING PROGRESS GETTING MY MAX DONE, WOULD HAVE BEEN PISSED IF HE DIDNT REFUND THE MONEY. NONE OF HIS PICS HAS A CLOSE UP FROM THE REAR, OR SAYS YOU NEED TO MODIFY ANYTHING SO IT WILL FIT. MY BACK PLATE HAS ALREADY BEEN SPRAYED WITH SPEACIAL PAINT. THIS IS WHAT WE WROTE.

Dear luvthehub,

hey bro, i will send you a picture that you do not provide in your photos of this. for some reason you do not show a close up of this directly from the rear. i beleive because your product does not clear the recess of the stock blinker. im asking nicely for my money back upon return of your product. i need a name and address as i threw away the envelope. thanks Rob

Hi Rob,

You do not have to send a picture, we know exactly how good it looks.

We have sold well over 200 of these conversions in the past 3 years since we have come out with this set up, on the forums and here on eBay. You can go through our feedback and see that no one has ever bitched or whined about installation or the appearance, many have priased the look. We put nothing in our auction that our kit is a complete filler panel for the stock reflector.

We can send you a picture of the one we have on our yellow bike and you will see that our filler plate is smooth as we filled in our plate with a body filler, sanded it down and resprayed it with a silver paint, then mounted the light. We sell you the light conversion kit, how you install it and how you put it on is completely up to you as there are many different ways. We chose to do a body filler, other buyers on the forums have used stainless steel backing plates, and most buyers just leave it the way it is as it does look good the way it is, our feedback shows other peoples opinions on that, not just ours. Be sure to check out our feedback and you will see dozens upon dozens of happy customers that have bought the identical item that you have purchased.

Because we are sellers who stand behind everything we sell, you can send it back and we will refund your money, even though we do not have to, as what is stated in the auction is 100% on target to what you received.

Once we receive the light kit back, we will file a transaction cancellation through eBay, which you will receive a notice for, this way we will receive our listing and final value fees back and your payment will be refunded in full and we will both eat the shipping charges we spent to send the item to each other.

You can send it back to:
356 Chelsea Ave
Long Branch, NJ 07740
Attn: Pat

Please advise when you send it back.

Nice that they gave you a refund, but total B.S. that they don't mention in their ebay auction that you will have to use body filler to fill in the gaps! Who the hell wants to put bondo on their bike? Not me.

I bought one a year or so back and mine fit just fine, but I no longer use it. I had the clear lense before I went to a tri led bar setup instead. Glad he worked with you to make you happy in the end!

I rode with a bunch of max's a couple of weeks ago and I found the ones with the light mounted there were VERY hard to see.

Glad he took care of you. I learned a LONG time ago that you MUST be upfront about EVERY THING you sell on eBay.

Chris

Glad you will get your money back, but that 's total bullshit on his part - bondo on a bike - I don't think so.

I would recommend going to a Tractor/trailer supply house and you can pick up an LED one that will fit in the recess for less than $10.00

Mike

I would try a $10.00 conversion, do you have any pics of the tractor/trailer light mounted?

Not a conversion, but a additional brake light..$7 from WalMart

Ok, I must fess up here, I was thinking the same light like that Mike posted picrtures of, which won't work for a taillight eliminator. So I talked to my contact that supplies our company with lighting and commercial trailer parts and he confirmed that nobody makes a 4"X1" 3 wire light that would work for this application, but he says that he has made them work with relays, etc... either LED or incandecent. He will make one for me this weekend and get it to me Monday and include the schematic and parts list needed to make it. May not be 10 bucks, but cheap enough.

Sorry, didn't mean to speak through my ass on this one. Read the original post too quickly before responding.

Mike
