I have never dragged mine. So, 0.0 in the 1/8 and 1/4 mile.

:)

This was my 5th and fastest pass in my life.

R/T... 0.163
60'... 1.939

1/8... 7.368
MPH... 98.77

1/4... 11.325
MPH... 123.43

Morley's Muscle Carb Kit, full Kerker system, strapped front end, decent tail wind, pretty full tank of gas, I weigh 225 with leathers/helmet, rear tire is a dunlop 170/80, I have 11.5" progressives in the rear, forks lowered 1" in the triples, double d clutch mod, NGK plugs are one step colder (for nitrous), I ran 87 octane fuel, air temp was probably 55F. Can't think of anything else that would make much of a difference at the track.

Those are some good running numbers Jeff. Keep practicing the launch and get that 60ft down in the 1.60's and you will be close to the 10 second 1/4 mile.
I am basically holding my RPMS at 5K as the lights come down, when I am releasing the clutch out I am rolling on the throttle almost slipping the clutch getting the RPM's up around 8-9K rpms, to quick on the clutch wheelie not quick enough over rev.

Whats your weight Sean?

200lbs. Probably 215 at that time.

Your 1/8th times are easily in the 10's.

I havent ran the VMAX in the 1/8 yet. The 1/8 mile track is less than 5 miles from my house so its real easy to just ride to the track on Friday nights. Its a cheap dyno 15.00 for 6-9 passes.
I live about 30 mins from a 1/4 mile NHRA track located in Bowling Green KY. With all these big bore sport bikes around this area I figured it would be more fun beating them in the 1/8 rather than have them blow past me on the big end running 140+
I like 1/8 mile bracket racing over 1/4 less room for mistakes.
I figured 6.90's at 100-101 should be 10.90's at 122-123 in the 1/4

I don't think you'll have a problem getting that.... I'd set your goals higher and go for 10.8's!

I think I'm going to hit an 1/8 mile track this weeked for a little more test and tune and see if I can't get my launches and the nitrous figured out.

If your trying to be consistent and win during bracket racing than yeah hold the RPMS at 5000 - 6000 and let the clutch out once the clutch is completly out go WOT and allow the torque of the motor pull you the 60ft this will put you in the 1 70's low 1 80's 60 ft range
If your looking for ET than you will have to launch the bike by sliding the clutch through out to almost the 60ft
Its very hard to do with the VMAX clutch due to its hydrualic rather than having a wider spread as you would with a cable clutch
It takes practice but basically you know you have it when your RPMs are around 8000-9000 and your clutch isnt completly out but the front wheel is floating about 6-8 inches off the ground which is called the sweet spot giving you around low 1 61's in your 60ft which will put you around 7 10's and real close to 10's in the qaurter
Practice Practice and more practice
Also launch in the street and look at your blk mark it should be about 6in wide all blk
If you see 2 outter lines dark and the inner part is light this means you dont have enough air pressure and the middle is bowing in
If your mark is solid blk but thin 3-4 in means you have to much air pressure
I know with my Shinko 18 PSI is the sweet spot When it warms up I will run 16 due to the hotter weather and after the burnout it will increase the tire pressure more than it does now in this 60 degree weather
All depends on the tire brand and how hard the sidewalls are

Cant find my slips at the moment. I know the 1/4 number for sure, I think im accurate on the others

10.4 @126mph in the 1/4 i know for sure
1.6 60' i know for sure
.2-.4 RT in that area

1500 tourmaster, kerker4-1, stage 7. I usually roll with my 18" RC boat anchors on the street but I use a 17" rear at the strip. I also weigh 250lbs. This was my first time ever last summer. I went thre times.
One night I got 22 runs in the other two times 6 runs and 8 runs. My 60' are consitent in 1.6's my 1/4 was all between 10.4-10.8 and RT's were .2-.5. I always had problems hooking up. But i seemed to have the best times when i wasnt hookingup.

I thought I would post my new updated times in the 1/8th

I've done 10.30's out of the box since day one (1985) weighing 127 lbs.

Now that I weigh 170+ we shall see ;)

I got upset once at a 10.87 :biglaugh:

He's a beast and I have no explanation for it!

Could be the fact next time I launch will be the 15 thousandth time I've been down the 1/4???

I ran a 7.5 @ 94 tonight in the 1/8th. It was the first time I'd ever raced anything at any track. It was a blast. :punk:

edit:
Worn out street tires, kerker 4 into 1, k&n, stage 3 or 6 carb kit (salesman said 3, finance guy said 6) V boost hard wired on.

Rider weight w/leathers 231 lbs.
1985 Stock Engine.
My home made stage 7 carbs.

04 with supertrapp slip ons with 4 discs a side. i went 11.22@117, 1.70 60', [email protected] 1/8. i weigh 170ish full gear. stock everything except for the mufflers. i did however put two more discs in each side and noticed an increase in the butt dyno. spins the tire a lot more now. im hoping to get close to 11.0s on wednesday.

Yep, great times. Need a couple more ponies and you're in the 10's. You've almost got a "perfect" pass on it based on you MPH in the trap and your 60' time.
