Seem to have marginal Hot starting issues. Initially starts fine..Ride for about an hour..stop for a few minutes and go to restart..starts but seems to struggle a bit to turn over. Checked Volts getting 14.2 at idle. Is this a starter issue? :ummm:

Could be battery. Even though you're getting great voltage at idle the real test is during load. I'd bring it in to get it tested. How old is it?

Next, check/clean your starter cables.

Last thing would be to remove starter and clean commutator and brushes. Dust builds up and you gradually lose electrical contact.

I'd say 90% chance your battery's on its way out. Easy check: get the bike hot to the point where it struggles starting, then jump start it with a car battery. If it stops struggling to turn over you know your battery's dying.

Most of the Auto Parts stores have a battery load tester for customers use.
