So, what makes this so? Looking at the 1996 models, they came with 140 hp rating. That's a huge, I said huge, difference from the below 100 hp of the 1998 models. Where did they hide it? Airbox? Heads? Exhaust?

so i found these 3 bolts center left and right and a few underneath the fender for what i would call wiring chase or pre fender. surely this cant be all their is to removing the rear fender, dam i hope im right. If you know , let me know. esp if theres a how to or sticky...thanks. trying...

I just bought an 88 Vmax without progressive springs. The bike came with a set of forks from a 96 that are thicker (I guess?). Do I need to bother switching to the 96 forks if I put progressive springs in the original forks? :ummm:
