Difficult to start, won't start hot, battery draining

I've got a weird set of intermittent issues with my Gen 1. It has a 1500 Tourmaster and flat side carbs fitted which may be contributing. However, the battery seems to drain significantly if I don't start it for a week or so. Is this normal? On top of that, it has become difficult to start when...

Extremely difficult to roll in neutral

Alright, so here's something that confuses me. My 2006 Vmax has always been extremely difficult to push/roll when the bike is not running. This is regardless of holding clutch in or neutral. Being my first shaft driven bike I figured this might be the norm. (However , as i think about it, I...

How difficult to remove an exhaust?

Much taller tire than the IRC ... or maybe my IRC was really chewed down a bunch more than I thought ..... Really struggled to slide the tire under the fender. Had to jack the bike up an extra inch or so, which was not fun.

How difficult to replace slave cylinder

I'm thinking the clutch slave cylinder is bad on my 1991 Vmax. I found some fluid under the bike and the fluid in the clutch resevoir is low. The bike is also shifting a little harder tha usual. I'm planning on buying a new complete slave cylinder instead of rebuilding my current one. I'm...

    Is re-jetting difficult?

First off, I gotta say that I'm still learning and loving the Vmax more and more each day. I've read the dynojet instructions and obviously can see that the needles can be shimmed or replaced easy enough. But, my question is....just how difficult on a scale of 1-10 is it to replace the...
