floating

I love the feel when the front end just floats about 4 inches above the ground. A quick "bump" between first and second and it's airborne again. I must admit I do not have the balls or skills needed to stand it way up, but the power wheelies just make me grin ear to ear. Wifey secretly enjoys...

I've been working on the exercise of making my own discs and really preferred a semi-floating setup which is time consuming and involves some expense if I make my own. There are some cheap semi-floating discs sold on ebay that are cheaper than what I could make which will fit later models but...

Can anyone tell me what the benefit of using a floating rotor as to a non floating rotor. Do you get better braking distance??, Are certain calipers only made for a floating rotors. Thanks, Ron :ummm:
