Stupid question bur im still learning carb tuning, lol. Will the size o f the PAJ2 affect the number of turns out on the AFR screws? Currently the screws dont seem to be doing anything.
Went to wake the Max up this morning... Put in a gallon of gas, and turned on the key to start the bike. As I was cranking it I noticed a puddle of gas on the floor. Investigating showed that the PAJ2 on the left front carb was leaking a major amount of fuel. Figuring a stuck float, I gave...
I just had the DJ stage 7 installed, was noticing off idle stumble and random carb pop when lugging, I pulled the filters, all slides working good but I see the PAJ2's have the #90 on them, shouldn't they be 190s, am I missing something?
When one increases the size of paj2 air flow increases. One would assume this leans the mixture out. However....since these are CV carbs does it also increase fuel due to higher velocities? Guess I really don't understand the circuit!
Anyone know? :confused2:
Dale #2592
1) Remove four fasteners holding vacuum chamber cover on. Be careful, spring will push the cover out.
2) Remove slide spring.
3) Remove slide. Be careful of the rubber diaphragm and notice the groove in the carb body. The slide installs one way.
4) #3 is the PAJ2. Get a flat head...
