The Max started to whine and vibrate on deceleration so I took it in to the mechanic. He said that I broke the pinion shaft and to get it fixed I need to get the whole package ring and pinion. I don't know any thing about it. Does that sound right to you guys? Mike

Yup, I broke the pinion shaft, right where the nut holds it on. My main question is, what do I do now? I can get a whole new assembly for $775, (dealer buddy price, but ouch!) or should i pick up a used assembly from ebay with unknown milage, or should I roll up my sleeves and rebuild my own? I...
