solenoid issue starting

Having a starting issue. New solenoid, Starter starts if bypass solenoid. Checked start switch circuit goes to zero volts when hit the start switch. if you jump solenoid with 12 volts turns starter over. Trying to narrow down from start switch to solenoid. what else could be causing not to...
