Rotella 5w-40 synth to Rotella 15w-40 dino..Shinkos+Crosswind
I recently changed from Rotella 5w-40 synth (blue jug) back to Rotella 15w-40 dino (white jug). My mechanic who I trust told me the 5w-40 is "TOO THIN". Do I have the second gear blues...or Synth Oil blues???
Took my Max for its first long ride today. This is an '85 with 24,500 on the clock. I had ridden it about 30 miles last weekend and never noticed any issues. However, today the first time I got hard on it in second gear I felt slippage. Now, it did not feel like it popped OUT of gear and back...- MBreinin
