Hi everybody. I'm wondering the thermostat valve is really nescessary. Because i not ride in the "cold season" time. What will happen for the engine if the coolant system always are 100% open? :ummm:

I have been looking at the parts blow up and i cant seem to see where the thermostat is, anybody have a part number or can point out where it is, i talked to the dealer and they couldn't see it either and tried telling me there isn't one.

Is there any reason that there is a thermostat in the vmax? Its not like a car where you need the thermostat for the heater. I was thinking of removing only the guts of it so there is still a restriction but no valve. Any thoughts?

While the coolant was out for that nightmarish valve adjust, I put in the Napa thermostat. It fit great, and it has a much smaller spring than the stock one.
