Pretty-close to collectible status, I'd say. I suspect #1 may be in Yamaha's corporate office or somewhere else like that. Number two of the 2009 USA production, certainly braggin' rights there. Not mine, no one I know. Less than 5,000 miles, asking $9500, maybe there's a Hurricane Harvey...

Just visited a really nice guy in my city that my body man told me about several months ago. Guy called me a few months after our initial contact and has an 85 basket case he has in the shed. Familiar story, buddy said he'd help tear it down and rebuild it then disappeared. Actually lives close...

A comment Redbone made on the guy's "first Vmax" made me wonder. I realize that the Vmax certainly isn't the most common bike on the street - that's a lot of the reason to enjoy and be proud of riding one. Of course, we know there are one or two "other" reasons. :D But he said there...

Just stoling through the garage and counting how many 1990 vmaxes there are and I beleive I found only 3. Got me thinking does anyone know the number of vmaxes made in each production year? I think my year will be worth the most since its the fewest:rofl_200:

especialy if you try to trade one in lol. It will be interesting to see. I thought for a jap bike they hold there value pretty well for a clean one on resale. I will hold on to my 06 for awhile I really like it. But the new Vmax pics are already growing on me...of course I kind of liked a Bking...

So, I took my Max out last night for a little ride. I had to fill up and while I was there, there was a nice FJR1300 there as well. The guy on the FJR comes over and says, "hey, I have a Yamaha too!" I commented that it was a very nice FJR. He then asks, "what is this bike?" I said, "a V-Max."...

Can someone tell me why there seem to be soooo many low mileage V-maxes for sale :ummm: I mean it's not unusual to see 1980' series V-max advertised as low mileage 20,000 to 35,000 miles and I can't believe that this is the case. I figure to be that low it has to have a) Had the speedo drive...
