winterizing

First year with my 03 Vmax and want to do it right. Not ready to put it away yet, but its right around the corner. I assume oil and filter change? Any thoughts on fuel stabilizer? What's best to use? What else should I be doing? Should the battery be pulled? Thanks This forum is invaluable

Just curious is there anything special to do to my Max before the cold harsh winter sets in up here who knows when? i talked to the Yamaha dealer he said just run it low on regular gas and fill it up with 110 octane and leave er sit, in the past i put in stabilizer and ran my Buell for a while...

Whats the procedure with winterizing the Vmax? My last bike which had gravity fed carbs was simple. I drained the carbs, filled and put stabil in the tank. Done. This is the first bike I own with a fuel pump. So I ran the carbs dry by unplugging the pump, then drained the rest through the...
