Re: 170/60 tire 17" rim, stoke driveshaft

180? really ?

180 its great look!

I don?t know if my rim is o.k. with 180, now I have 160 and want to change to 170

It?s a17" Exactrep aluminum rim

I guess the size is written on the rim itself ? I will check it

Thanks

The exactrep wheel is 17x4.5, 150-160 is recommended, you'll just about get a 170 on it but I think 180 might be too much.
It depends on how much the tyre wall can be pulled in :confused2:

I just put a 150/70-17 on mine, last year I had a 160/60-17 which was great

i just fit a 180 shinko stealth on a 4.25 rim. not recommended but it fit. it was a kosman bolt up i believe or possibly that french website. didnt' need a swingarm modification either.

the 170 will be just fine. The 180 though it will fit will make the profile not correct and lose handling.

i agree. also made getting the second bead under the rim a pain in the ass.

I just checked it now. On the rim written 160/70 so the rim looks ok. I am still concern about the swingarm gap ( the right side) Today I have a Avon 160 I have only 10mm gap between the tire to the swingarm, so if I will install a 170 tyre I wil have a gap only 5 mm, is that ok?
I don't know if it will stay that way when the tyre will be worm
It's look like the maximum

I very concern about it and I just want to be 100% sure

I don't understand how some VMax owners put a 180 Tyers, it's look like no gap

on my 190 (modified swingarm) i have less than 2 pieces of paper clearance and its fine.
