Not mine, just posting the link, may be a good deal for someone. I sent him a text a couple hours ago but haven't heard back yet.

I have the matching front! If anyone buys this (and it's not me - i've sent a text too), i'd like to borrow it for a little bit to mock up the shaft drive parts of the wheel so I can convert my chain drive wheels that are similar over to shaft drive stuff.

Well, I couldn't pass it up, so I went and picked it up this morning. I don't care that much about the tire, though it's in good shape but I wanted the rim. Now, I just gotta save up to get it painted and buy some tires!

Before you spend any more $$$ I would trial-fit it w/whatever size tire you hope to run. Pick-up a May-pop from the bike shop discard pile and throw it on, to check for clearance & etc.

Does that wheel have a cushion drive? Is it a Dymag? Looks like one.

Dang! I guess that's why he didn't answer the phone at 10 this morning

Now you can buy the matching front from Sean and be all set up

Looks like an old Kosman to me[/QUOTE]

Me too, is it a bolt together? If so, Kosman most likely. I'd grab the matching front for the width. That's how I got radials on the Mistress for under a grand. Sean hooked me up with a nice front wheel to match the back I got from a member here.

I've uploaded some better pictures. The guy I got it from says it will fit but it's really tight getting into place. He was really cool, and had an '85 quite a few years ago which this rim was on and now he has an '85 with just 1800 miles on it, along with a couple other bikes in his basement/man cave. While I was there he showed me the clothes he was wearing when he crashed on a Hayabusa. There was nothing left but strips of fabric. Talk about a good reminder to keep wearing my gear!

There's a sticker that says Akront, but I didn't find much about them for Vmax.

I don't know what "cushion drive" is, so I don't know if this is or not.

I'm going to put a 170 on that I picked up from Adam here, and I'll try to get that big tire in there first, then I'm going to ship it to Sean to play with until I get money saved up for tires and hopefully the matching front.
