Hey, my 85 doesn't have the T1 mark or any mark for that matter on the flywheel. My manual is 1995 so I'm not sure if they changed the marks or what. I need to pull the heads off for rings or more and don't want any problems with cam timing upon re-assembley. I see a valley partially around the flywheel. Are the ends of this the timing marks for my year?
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Do you have the stator cover completely removed to verify this? I've personally never seen one not have it. They can be difficult to see sometimes through the site hole. You have to look towards the center (rearward) to see most of the time.

No, I just took out the timing plug and the stator bolt access cover. I'll look again. Been around it a few times already but one more can't hurt.
