1986 Grab Bar

Hi everyone. I am new to the site. Looking for some help on parts compatibility.
Will a rear seat, grab bar from a 1993 V-Max fit my 1986 V-max?
Just picked the bike up and would like to take the sissy bar off and go with a short grab bar.

I did this once I got mine, I found someone that had a extra.. He wanted me to give him the sissy bar, I had to laugh. Not with having kids that like to ride on the bike....I have both, just don't care for the looks with the sissy bar, but it goes on if I put a bunch of stuff on the back also.. it's only like a 15 minute change...
