VMax Year
1997
1997 Vmax; purchased new July, 1997. Rode it for a couple years, then parked for 20 years. Got it running again last month; replaced the battery and changed the fluids. I've put about 60 local miles on it since and it runs good. Still needs the tires replaced; still has the original 25 year-old Dunlops:

Seriously?? Why would you do this to a VMAX??
For me anyway, back in the late 80's on my Red Line MX2 bmx. There was a Yamaha dealer I would visit about once a month. One day I went in there and they had a VMAX and a Phaser. That day I knew I had to have one of these bikes. In 2001 I bought my 06, It had just 5k mi stock. It has just over 10K mi now, it's been modded a little. But I'll probably die with this bike.

Very nice. Especially the "MadMax" plate!

Very nice bike, I had a 97 I got in 2000 and it only had 2k miles on it. Sure do miss that bike, now you need to put some miles on that one. Good luck with it.
