I went & got 2 new projects last night sorry not Vmax & I ventured into the dark side again. I bought a 2001 Vulcan 750 which don't need much & I got a 1988 Harley FXR . I am not going to do much to the Kawasaki but the FXR will be repainted & tuned a little better. I have to get rid of tons of red it is going to be Black on Black. It should be another fun project.

Is that an 'FXR-SP?' Kinda looks like it. The cops rode those, where I used to work fire/rescue. That's supposed to be the best-handling of the Big Twins, of that time.

I can see why you chose to re-paint in black.

I once had a choice to buy a Vulcan 750 for reasonable $$ but I would only have bought that for resale. At that time I was more-into KZ1000's. A woman who was the girlfriend of a friend of mine, took possession of it from her ex-boyfriend, who stopped making payments on it, she had co-signed the loan. I just couldn't muster much enthusiasm for the 'flip,' it ran, but it wasn't that clean, and I decided I didn't want to wait on selling it for a decent profit. I believe they made that bike for a long production run.

Here in south FL there are some great deals to be had on Twin Cam H-D's because the RUB's (rich urban bikers) are all foaming at the mouth to buy the 'Milwaukee 8' new engine H-D's and are dumping their TC's cheap.

2005 FLSFTI $7k

Yep it is an SP and they are great handling for a Harley. I think they are one of the best handling bikes Harley ever made not really sure why they quit making them. As always I will be selling both bikes when I am done. I would really like to keep the FXR but it is not in the cards but I will have fun playing with it for a while.
