89 Venture Royale 1300 V4 MKII, Blue with 73k (Included with sale, VMAX heads/cams/intakes/vboost).
Complete bike with OEM heads still on it, it should run with a fresh battery. The Vmax heads and fixins are included in the sale but not installed. All the other items listed below are currently installed on the bike.
Ignitek TCI with COPS. Soldiered, not crimped.
Progressive fork springs
Recent fork bushings/seals (OEM).
R6 calipers F & R, brakes de-linked.
Tires have lots of life left
New carb diaphragms (UK, not Chinese)
New Steering head bearings and races (not Chinese but not OEM either)
Air ride and cruise work.
Clutch is getting tired, will slip in higher gears under WOT. Although still ridable it should be replaced.
VC gasket weeps and will need replacement. Will need a fresh battery.
It's a super comfy tourer with the delicious Yammie V4. I was going to install the Vmax heads which is why it has an Ignitek and COPS installed. No shifting or 2nd gear issues. Health reasons force sale, my next tourer is probably going to be a TDI A8L. My Max will be the only bike I keep.
This machine is located in the Black Hills of SD, adjacent to Rapid City. I am happy to hold the bike until the Sturgis Ralley with a deposit, should make moving it pretty easy as everyone knows someone coming to the rally, and probably bringing a trailer haha. I'm a motivated seller and will consider any remotely reasonable offer/trade. I had it up for $1800 for everything but I still have it so I'm open to virtually any offer. I'm looking for around $1500 but I have NO intention of letting this sit here another season. Should this interest you at all then let me know and we'll work something out, hear the motivation in my inflection?
Clear South Dakota title and a fat folder of reciepts of all I have done.
Sale also includes an aluminum aux touring tank (new, never used) with hoses, clamps, valve and mounting straps. I got it for my Vmax but it sits amazingly well right in the trunk of this Venture. Roughly 2.25 US Gallons. Will also include an 85 Vmax engine that the doner heads were harvested from, if the buyer wants it.
Cash is king but trades are also entertained, guns, valve/tube amp, utility trailer et al. Who wants to make a TourMax?
