If i knew about that paint before i would have painted my engine like that. Do you have any info on that color George? I still have another bike to paint... :biglaugh:

thanks guys, i am anxious to see it complete.
Fred as i am a paint freak and keep looking continiusly for new paints and colors. i was searching for a very long time for this kind of paint. never was lucky. i accidently went to a shop and saw those wheels. it was exacly the color i was searching for. i kept asking the dude that owns the shop how did he achieve that gold and he never told me the secret. he kept telling it is iridium gold over chrome. BUT i was so pissed of with me and HIM for not sharing his secret and kept googling and searching and searching and found out Spectra Chrome. check the links below to see how they do it. but before you check them this is some info i substructed from the guy how did mine.

the paint last to temp about 130 celsium. it is a clear coat mixed with yellow candy (you can mix it with whatever color you like). on metals he puts the metals on a vibrator polishing machine with small balls and then he colors them with the way i told you. i am 100% sure even if he didnt tell me. when it comes to plastic he does the procedure that the link below provides that why the cost of the paint on plastic is more expensive. check out the rims i saw when i went into his shop. i ll also put a link for what i say vibrator polisher machine to understand exactly what i mean. i hope i helped Fred.

That was really interesting on the spectra chrome. Thanks for posting that ..

you are welcome , it is a very interesting paint. you need the right tools to make it right. i now that i am far away from eveybody since i am from Greece, but i talked to the Man that did my job and can handle if anyone is interested any work you need, Rims , Plastics, metals. at any color you want. the shiping is the thing that i dont know how it will cost you. but talked to the guy and he can make good prices for us.
this is link for what he can do. he aslo is a master repair for rims. a demolished rim he can repair it in one day time.

Thanks george. I'll have to dig into that further. Don't know if there's anyone around here that is familiar with this.

If you need Fred anything to paint i could gladly help you. Shpping to Greece will be cheaper from shipping from us

some update pics .. my cans before chroming. in a week my cans will be chromed and the headers will be mirror fininsh. i have made the inserts in each header so a/f sensors can be installed in each header. still waiting the thickness of my head gaskets so i can order them from Sean. Some ergal bolts are missing but they are on their way . i have to order my calliper titanium gold bolts though

Your exhaust... I wonder how difficult it would be to mod Cobra slash cuts like mine to something like that. Was thinking a 4-1-2-4 setup would be PERFECT.

Overall, the level of detail I am seeing is simply OUTSANDING! I am looking forward to seeing this bike when it is completed and together.
