Hey, what's with everybody out there not discussing the new and improved Max. I can hardly control myself just thinking about it and wondering how it will look and what all it will have, apart from the usual. Talk is, it might be in the price range up to $18,000. That's a lot of beans but still cheaper than most Harleys. Just once in my life I want the best of something before I leave this earth and the new Max should fill that bill for a while anyway. So lets talk it up a bit and show that there is an interest in a new and improved version of what we all love. You're all going to want one, you know that!:peace out bike:

From the time of revealing a new design to actually producing it takes a few years, I wasn't expecting it this year.
If they just make a new stiffer/lighter frame, same engine with fuel injectors and thicker forks that will be great improvement.
With the busa people killing themselves on fast bikes the officials are putting the lid on faster bikes.
I think they should have two lanes for motorcycles and one lane for cars while limiting SUV use to Sundays only!

Mike you should think about radials 17 you will not feel the need to get a new bike for a few months:)
Is speed the only joy of riding?

Uh oh. Did the host's servers take a dump again? This thread was up to 20 something responses. Not good.....

I could see paying maybe 14-15G's for it...but if it's upwards of 18. Then I dont think i'll ever see one. I've wanted a max for a while and finally have one. Gunna be kinda disapointed if I could have waited a year and gotter the new and improved max. :tantrum:

Sorry, 14-15K is Hardley territory. Not that I would own a hardley (just not mys tyle) or fork over that much for anything less then a Goldwing (we all become old farts someday). I just can't see that kind of price for the style of bike.

For the same speed/power I could pay less for a crotch-rocket and give up some comfortability. Then again, for that kind of price I could really sup the piss outta 3 of my cars and my 97' Max :)

I am pretty sure that I would spend the cash. I am not too sure that I would buy from a dealer though. Seems like you can alwayss get a nearly new anyhting in just a few months after it comes out.

Then I would have to get it over here to Germany, but that is the easy part!

I've never seen a harley in the 14-15k range worth owning IMO. More like 20-24k...but the goldwing idea is one I have for when I hit the old fart status. Then again i'd like to have a harley some day also.
I'm thinking sup the piss out of the max and add to the collection, unless i can find a good used newer max in a few years.

I'll probably head your way in a couple of years and may bring your new Max with me as extra baggage. :) Have relatives living in Saarbr?cken, Germany. Wonder if they would allow the Max into the country, having over 200 hp. The Europeans are a bit stricter on what you can have there. If so, they'll probably go crazy over it.

Saarbr?cken is only about 40 miles from where I live. In fact I am going there tomorrow! :eusa_dance:

Thanks for the offer to bring my Max over, but I would rather bring it here myself!

The power restrictions in Germany do not exist anymore. They ended them in 2003. The major problem would be the German T?V for a non-European spec machine. I am soooooo glad that I do not have to go through the T?V!!!!

BTW Germany just beat Argentina and advance to the Semi-Finals in the World Cup.:thumbup1:
