Ady Gil/Sea Shepard Whaler

Anyone actually watch the video? what a bunch of ******* morons, every news outlet is reporting it as a deliberate ramming of the Ady Gil by the Whaler.

I'm calling suicide by Whaler.

Only a ******* idiot could look at the video and believe it was deliberate ramming anymore than you could park a car on the train tracks and say the train deliberately rammed something.

I don't blame the Sea Shepard society for claiming that after all, they have an agenda and they are being true to it at least. it's expected.

But the ******* media should know better.


I also ran across this while searching for info about the Ady Gil itself, a very cool looking boat (or at least it used to be)

You know, it's the circle of life thing.

The sun which is god sends love energy into the world in the form of light, the alge and the plankton grow on this, and then they decide to give it up to glorify jesus, and they choose to be eaten by krill and fish.

The whales grow on this, and then they decide to give it up to glorify jesus, and they choose to be harpooned and eaten by people in Japan.

The real issue is that the people in Japan don't follow jesus and the holy scriptures.
God tells us in Exodus 34:12-13: 'Do not make any treaties with the people of the country into which you are going ... Instead, tear down their altars, destroy their sacred pillars, and cut down the symbols of their goddess Asherah'.

God tells us in Deuteronomy 12:2-3 : 'In the land that you are taking, destroy all the places where the people worship their gods on high mountains, on hills, and under green trees. Tear down their altars and smash their sacred stone pillars to pieces. Burn their symbols of the goddess Asherah and chop down their idols, so that they will never again be worshipped at those places.

So the people in Sea Shepherd, if they were real christians, they would invade Japan and set fire to all their temples - after killing them all.

And then the Sea Shepherd people could hunt and kill the whales for the remaining christian people in Japan, to help them understand that when a whale chooses to give it up for jesus, they are wanting us to eat them so that as god given rulers of the earth, we can magnify and glorify god ourselves.

And when all the whales have gone back to heaven, then we can harvest all the krill - in the name of jesus.

If thats the 1 im thinking of the Adi Gil is a.k.a Earthrace , the ramming was deliberate and they have asked the NZ Police to arrest the captian of the whaling ship , they are looking into it but no arrests are likely as there to feckin gutliss . Japan have amitted in the past that its not for research they cut the fins off and dump the rest . :bang head:

I don't have any opinion about the whaling or not whaling thing, although if pressed I'd say it was pointless and wrong to be out whaling against an endangered species. But the international courts already spoke on the legality of it.


But did you WATCH the video?

How do you place the prow of your boat in front of a huge ship that's not very manueverable and thing say you were rammed on purpose?
I don't get it? I see nothing deliberate other than the placement of the Ady Gil.
A 40 ton ship doesn't have a ******* emergency brake after all.
You play you pay, I predicted something like this a year ago when they made a TV show out of it and started taking m ore and extreme actions to get ratings/attention.

If someone runs out of the bushes directly under my deer feeder wheni'm squeezing the trigger the result would be the same.

That was not a ramming. If you look at the footage, the Ady Gil was stationary and the Japanese vessel was underway. As they approached the Ady Gil accelerated forward into the path of the Whaling vessel.

While I am not a proponent of whaling I think that that the Sea Shepard captain should be brought up on charges and spend some time behind bars. In the video you can catch a glimpse of the whaling ship's wake just after the collision. Prior to the collision it was straight and the ship was maintaining course. It only altered course after the impact.

Maritime law gives right of way to the larger less maneuverable ships. The Ady Gil essentially "stepped out in front of the bus" and paid the price.

It's amazing that anyone in the media would watch that video and report that the Ady Gil was rammed.

As said above, they "Stepped out in front of a bus." Maybe next time they'll look both ways before crossing..
