The Haynes manual instructs you that the head gaskets have to be placed in a certain direction, the OEM ones have the word "HEAD" printed on them and this should be facing up.
However, the head gaskets that came in the gasket kit I bought have no words or marking, leading one to conclude that it doesn?t matter which way they go. There is however one thing that would suggest a direction: a "corrugated" inner layer, where the corrugated bump protrudes only in one direction.
I think I know which way they should go, but before I decide I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with such a gasket?
