Anyone with air ride experience? Need some info about reliability and ride quality.
I will be buying a new rear monoshock shortly and these are 2 options I shall consider:
- aftermarket oil shock: Wilbers is my choice.
Pros: 3 stage adjustment capability of damping and rebound plus hydraulic preload(which I also have now), spare parts and 100% rebuildable.
Cons: must choose the particular aplication ex. honda vfr 800. Most likely
need to spend some more coin on aditional springs and rebound/damping kit.
Hard to set it right on a custom motorcycle at a glance.

-air ride suspension:
Pros: fully adjustable spring rate and rebound(just pump it more). Universality: one shock for many motorcycles:you dont give a damn its hayabusa or intruder - its the same **** with different mounting hardware. Coll like hell eye catching riding height lifitng LOL
Once you have a compressor onboard(which will fit nicely under faux tank cover)
you can also pump the front forks and even the pneumatic stand(so called "landing gear").You can pump your flat tyre LOL. Air shifter also possible.
Cons: Battery consumption. Pumping takes time - if you want you can install the small air tank. Its heavy. You dont have a 666 stages from 6 adjusting srcrews to set you shock hydraulics like they do on MOTO GP :rofl_200: (not exactly a bad thing for some).
