Akrapovic mid-pipe and still running stock OEM rear exhaust and stock OEM head pipes?

I haven't but lots of owners have.
The photo you have there shows no factory heat shield but the factory heat shields will go back on, the left one just needs a little trimming
Performance will be good. My friends VMax ran 9.43 in the 1/4 with that setup.

Thanks you answered my question about putting this left heat shield back cuz it looks kind of cruddy without it. I did put the right side back on with no issue. Thought the left would go back with a little modification to the bottom line. I haven't been on the strip in over 13 years but I think after a few weeks of off the line practices I may have to make a trip there to see what it will do. My ECU is on the way back from Tim now, can't wait to throw it in and see how much better it feels.
Good number on your friends Max, I would be happy with anything under 9.99.

Just got ECU back from Tim today and installed and MAN this thing is wicked quick. Just did the DD in clutch, MAB just removed Air Inlet Restrictor plate with K&N, Akrapovic mid-pipe and flash ECU. Way more than enough but going to probably have to put on the strip just to see what it'll do...
