So I just put a fork seal in my bike after having to do it when I must have nicked one on the last install two weeks ago :bang head: well anyway, and had to get fuel in the bike. As I roll up a guy in his mid 30's walks out of the gas station with his 10 year old and says,
"Is that a V-Max"

I respond "Yup"

His next sentence leaves me somewhat speachless of
"I had a friend that had one 20 years ago. He died after owning it for 8 minutes on it"

What am I supposed to say to that? So I respond, "Well, that really sucks".

He responds, "Yup".

Talk about an awkward thing to tell somebody. I mean, I don't want to judge somebody's riding ability whom I've never met, and I don't know all the circumstances to the loss.

Anyway, how many of those stories have you guys heard wherever?

Wow Dustin, I haven't had that but I do get a lot of... "you really think you need nitrous for that? I hear of a lot of people getting killed on those things."

'Survival of the fittest', I guess would be the best way to describe those of us that are still hear to talk about this. Don't get me wrong, I have had my close calls and do respect the beast.....

Jeff..... a.k.a..... Axle

Oh nice! :icon_rolleyes: Nothing like shitting on your day. I guess you could have been just as nasty and asked if his surviving family had any VMax parts they were selling.

I was going to say something smart, but then something was telling me he didn't mean to come off how I may have taken the comment.
