Is it a guy on a Bobact clearing snow in a blizzard?

A polar bear in a snow storm? Er...make that a bobcat in a blizzard.

impressive! I hope that he can find his way back home. With visability like that he is lucky that he hasn't his that truck and house in the background.... whoa watch out for the frozen dog! LMAO

I use to run the Case equivalent. All day every day one summer. Used it to put a sand layer in trenching before and after laying down direct burial lighting cable out at Houston Intercontinental Airport.

You can definitely do all kinds of crazy shit on them. And I don't know if its possible to flip one on level ground.

We had both Bobcats And the Cases, bobcat seems to be the generic trade name for the machine regardless of the make tho.

The case was much easier to operate I thought. It had all machine function on two sticks left and right. You only used your feet to brace yourself.

On the bobcat the left right sticks were motion and spin, and you used your feet to operate the bucket. For precision bucket work while in motion on rough ground it seemed lots easier in the case.

Different strokes for different folks. We have 3 bobcat loaders with foot pedals for the bucket. I would take that over the hydrostatic hand control setup for the loaders any day. We rented a bobcat with hand controls for 2 weeks quite a few years back. We got the job done but I was happy to return it to the rental yard.

Then again, I'm one of those goofballs that would rather run ISO excavator controls than SAE. I learned on ISO so, that is what I'm used to. All our guys are in the same boat. If I have to rent a big exc for a job I need to tell them to make sure we can switch it over from their "normal" setup.

Pretty good for sure. We had an 8042 Skytrak for a few years around here. Was damn fun to drive and use. Imagine a rough terrain forklift on steroids!

8000lbs (at 15') and 1500lbs at max reach - 42'. I can tell you that standing on a platform at the end of the forks at max reach feels like a really long way up. Perfect for trimming trees lol! It was used by my uncle to do framing work.

This brought back memories. I worked in a dealership and went to the Bob Cat schools many years ago when they switched from gear drives to hydrostatic. At the time this was very innovative. The machines are great, easy to use, and can do a lot, but this operator is in a league of his own. Bob Cat makes some big machines too, that are seldom seen on the East Coast. The lumber industry uses them to cut and stack some good size trees. Thanks guys.

I MIGHT stand on a platform at the ends of the forks 2' off the ground....42'?? :surprise: NOT this mic!! I don't even like thinking about that....:eusa_snooty:

Probly have acrophobic nightmares now!

Or is it agriphobic? No, that's the fear of tractors! :rofl_200:
