Anyone shorten the rear signal lamp stem

work great! I personally dislike the OEM signals, and I've used these lenses on both my Royal Star Venture and my VMax. Now I actually don't mind the "classic" look these OEM signals provide.
My 2006 max had amber bulbs in the signals with clear lenses initially.

Yes, I've shortened them before by removing the rubber part and grinding down a brass plumbing fitting to replace it. A thick rubber washer to act as a vibration dampener and they seemed to work and look good.
