I'm not sure really what to tittle this post.
I was wondering if anyone would know of some kind of side stand for the right side of the VMax?

I know your thinking what the #4@! for?

Well Last Friday a thunder storm blew through and the wind blew my VMax over.
I keep it parked at the end of our driveway and covered. It is parked on concrete. I had it on it's kickstand and the wind blew the Bike over onto it's right side. Luckily it landed in the dirt so it only broke the right mirror off. and slightly bent the handlebar.
Being how I can not get the damn thing back up on it's own. I am looking to use some kind of stand, like a dirt bike stand or something, that I can put on the right side, so if a storm comes through again, it won't get blown over again.
I have no ass, so getting it onto it's center stand is a major chore for me. So I am looking for something I can just stick on the right side to stop it from getting blown over again.
Any one got any good ideas for this?
Severe thunderstorms during the day are almost an everyday occurrence here in Florida.

If I didn't have a garage or shed and there was a storm brewing.....living room here I come!

You could make your own out of some round stock and stick it in the back axle shaft on the right side and make it more of a safety stand...

:confused2:

Well now it gives you an excuse to get rid of the stock bars and mirrors...:clapping:

Are you looking for something like a wheel stand that the sportbikes use, that lift up their front and rear wheel? Dale Walker sells one that lifts up the back wheel.

Yah,Have you ever saw the triangle shaped stands with a prong on one side that come with new motocross bikes? The prong would slide right into the right side axle just like Chris Said.

I made a few sets for my honda that slide right into the foot pegs.

You could also cut yours down so it leans over farther.I removed an inch or so and welded the foot back on.

What does no ass have to do with getting the bike on the centerstand?

Lowered bikes are hard to get up on the stand... Unfortunetly I have zero issues with that...:bang head:

A lot of times I just use two 1X4's and run the rear tire on them to raise it to an acceptable level before using the stand.

My stand spends most of its life on the shelf though...:thumbs up:

It means I have to struggle with all my 125 pounds to pull the 600 pound Vmax up onto it's center stand. It usually takes me 5, 6, 7 tries and dam near cracking a nut doing it.

And yeah I've been shopping for new mirrors, but I just can't make up my dam mind what I want.
For the moment I'm putting my stock bars back on, it was the sport bar that got bent. Going to try drag bars and see how I like them. Then I'll decide on mirrors I guess.

I'll stop by cycle gear this weekend and see what they got for bmx stands, maybe one of those Will work in the rear axle like you guys mention.

I just want something I can stick on real quick and will prevent it from falling over again in the wind. It's not something I need to take with me on rides. A simple crutch is alls I'm looking for.

And Dreamster... our deck is 4 feet off the ground, as much as I'd love to, inside is not an option I would consider.
