well shucks guys i appreciate it. Just to clear up a few things though:

1. I can't see who voted no. I need full backend access (admin) which only buster has (iirc). I believe you need to look at the sql to see that.

2. i'm going to hold off on awarding this as i don't remember the last time we saw 3 no's on an award. I'd be interested if those members would like to say what i could do better here, either privately or publicly. There would be no backlash for level-headed constructive criticism .

I see your point Garrett but still a 92.31% to just 7.69% is an overwhelming YES!! And I agree whoever did vote no, in order to validate their reasoning should say why just like those of us who said yes. Instead of hiding behind the cloak of anonymous! People like that amaze me. If you have an issue, stand up, be heard, and state your case. Just like the guys who know Garrett truly deserves this award. And spoke up to say why we voted YES!!

Just pulled my thumb out of my arse and voted (yes, obviously). From Tapatalk, open the thread then Open in Browser and log in to the forum in the browser and you'll see the poll.

I havent been on the forum that long...but I thought as long as there was 20 yes votes...then the award was awarded.

typically yes, but since this is my own award i don't mind stalling to see if others have thoughts on how the forum could be improved. if its as a mod they dont' agree with it i'd be interested in their thoughts. if its personal, then oh well.

Garrett has a full time job, a family with 2 little ones to care for, and still makes time for the forum. and btw does a great job with it too :worthy:

Good move Bob....override that 'other' moderator....he's too close to the situation to make an unbiased call anyhow! :biglaugh: :thumbs up:

As for the 'no' votes, Garrett is right, we don't often see three no's, but we don't often see 43 votes cast either. I've known Garrett for several years and ridden with him many times, he's a great guy and most definitely deserving of this award.

Let's keep in mind that the mod job is not an easy one and no matter how nice or good or fair a person is, it just isn't possible to please all the people all the time.

I'm glad Bob took the option to award this as like Danny said Garrett was too close to do so, but like I said the reason I nominated him was that Garrett is definetly posting things for the betterment of the forum! Hands down, nobody deserves this award more than him and we couldn't have someone better in his position. Congrats Garrett, you do a Great job here. Ed
