Bell vortex helmet

This helmet is way bigger on the outside than it should be. Its like 1 and a 1/2 times bigger than most helmets. I hate ordering on line. Now it will cost me to send it back. I thought a bell helmet would be a sure thing. I was wrong. what is the world coming to. I cant trust a bell helmet to be cool I never thought i would see that day.:confused2:

Did the same thing with the bell revolver. Ordered an XL cause that's what size my HJC is. Got it and it was too big. They wouldn't accept it as a return cause I wore it once and it was 'user's so I sold it on CL. Got a large and it is awesome.

I like to 'try' them on at a store, each model and maker seems to have a different fit. I tried a XXL on from one company and could not get it on, then from the same company but a different model XL was too big. Another company I had XXXL and if I no ears I could get on and off. It is retarded with gear too. I wear a 4XL shirt and 48 waist and 34 inseam if made by a big and tall. But my Chaps are a 10XL and my jacket is 64 big and tall. I tried on a light weight jacket Saturday and it was 5XL and it was short of zipping up by 5 inches. I hate to have to buy a one piece leather suit, boy do they run small.

I called around looking for a bell in stock and none in my area. I wont make the mistake of buying on line again. Price is great but if you don't buy local you wont find much to try on. It cost me $15 to ship it back. This on line shit will get us all in the end. But no stoping it now.

I simply stated that each model and maker seems to have a different fit. A large in one company might be another company's XL, or from the same company one helmet fits in XL on one model and change models the XL is either too big or small it seems. The sizes are not uniform from model to model or company to company.

I'm waiting for my Bell Arrow (Large), sounds like i may be selling it. I've had HJC and CKX in large. The new Bell will have a wicked custom paint job, even better than i one i have now.

I got out of dealing helmets because of the issue you are having. Its true that its hard to find the right helmet by looking at a picture on the net..:bang head:

How do you like the Bell Revolver? I have a lead on a good deal on a close out one. I like the idea of modular helmet and the revolver is one of the few that looks decent in the up position IMHO.

Im looking to try the bell revolver myself if I can find it. You can get the evo for $136 I just need to know if its big and fat like the vortex.
